How it Works
Cosmetic Solutions Sunscreen lotion SPF 30 (water Resistant) was designed by combining the UV deflecting properties of Titanium Dioxide with the UV absorptive qualities of Octinoxate. These two ingredients were chosen for a cooperative strategy that exists between these two ingredients. In addition to improving the spectral coverage and skin coverage, there is an increase in UV path length. The Titanium Dioxide scatters the UV light from its reflective particles, which increases the path length for the UV light to traverse over the sunscreen film. This increases the span at which the organic Octinoxate absorbs UV light, increasing the total efficacy of the sunscreen. Achieving optimum SPF performance requires the active ingredients to be distributed as evenly as possible over the surface of the skin. Therefore; the film forming properties are very important. Cosmetic Solutions Sunscreen lotion SPF 30 (water Resistant) uses Silicone Oils to help maximize this screening factor and deliver the water resistant benefit. These oils also posses very good spreading properties, which assist in the formation of a coherent continuous film upon application of the lotion. Silicone Oils are inherently hydrophobic with a natural tendency to keep water from infiltrating and washing away. This forms a more durable layer on the skin providing more water resistant tenacity. Aloe Leaf Extract and Sunflower Seed Oil have been added to provide moisturizing and skin soothing properties.
